At the end of November the Asbestech team came together to raise a staggering £24,000 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in their Moments that Matter campaign. Overall, the Hospice’s supporters raised a huge £2m in just 36 hours and smashed their initial target of £1.2m – the annual cost of their nurses and carers. The extra funds mean that Noah’s Ark can immediately begin to appoint new specialist nurses and carers and continue their vital work at The Ark and in families’ homes throughout the coming months.
Anthony Hayman, Director of Communications and Fundraising, said: ‘’We couldn’t have achieved this wonderful result without the contributions of so many people who have poured their heart and soul into this campaign. It will have a profound and hugely positive impact on so many of London’s most unwell babies and children. A massive thank you to every single person who made this possible for Noah’s Ark and the children we support’’.
Daniel Chalkley, Asbestech Managing Director, said: ‘’Covid 19 has had a huge impact on the fundraising abilities of Noah’s Ark and of course other vital charities like them and it’s at times like this that we rally round and do everything that we can so they can continue to support our communities with their important work. I’m extremely proud of my team here at Asbestech; I saw how important it was to everyone that we made a difference and I’m not surprised that we managed to raise such a large amount in such a short space of time’’.
