Thrive Homes Framework
Thrive Homes is a housing association which owns and manages more than 4,000 rented and leasehold properties in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Thrive exists to provide good quality affordable homes and services enabling the development of communities where people enjoy living.
After a rigorous and open two stage OJEU prequalification and tender process, Asbestech were awarded the position of sole provider of Asbestos Removal and Remediation Services to Thrive Homes for a period of five years. During the tender process Asbestech were able to show a good understanding of the values that Thrive work to and demonstrate that they coincide with our own values, namely being Open, Respectful, Excellent and Reliable.
The works see us working closely with Thrive’s Estates team to provide remediation services to all manner of asbestos materials in both occupied and void properties throughout their estate. We mobilised the framework by meeting with Thrive’s key team members and developing close working relationships with them and gathering information to populate our database on our intranet to help with the management of the framework. We have dedicated teams working on this framework, providing Thrive Homes with a Contracts Manager, a Contract Administrator and a team of Supervisors and Operatives to undertake the management and execution of the work respectively.
We manage the works using the Planned Works module of our intranet system. This module is designed specifically to effectively manage and organise large planned and reactive works contracts and make it simple to administer and view delivery of the contract. It works by creating one central area where property and works instructions are managed from and records against each property resident and contact details as well as works instructions which are automatically cross referenced against BOQ items. The system also makes it simple for our site teams to record information relevant to the properties such as standard paperwork and instantly transmit it via smart App to the system where it is automatically stored against the relevant property.
