Paragon Community Housing Group

Paragon Community Housing Group is an award winning provider of affordable housing and services in Surrey, the South East and West London who own and manage 9,000 homes across several boroughs.

Asbestech was selected after a rigorous procurement exercise to provide removal and remediation services to Paragon for several projects. The largest of these was a six month rolling project to provide remediation services to soffits throughout their social housing portfolio. This saw Asbestech provide two dedicated Supervisor and Operative teams who were permanantly seconded to the project, being led by a dedicated Contract Manager who oversaw the works. Asbestech had a full property list, and after plotting each property on an electronic map we met with Paragon and their consultants to agree an outline schedule. The teams followed a geographic pattern across the portfolio, reporting each day on progress. Paragon’s consulatant provided inspection and confirmation services throughout the project to ensure that standards and timescales were being met.

In addition to the above, Asbestech provided full removal services to a large number of void properties to assist Paragon in preparing these for new tenants. We worked with Paragon to provide a rapid reaction service, tackling non-notifiable works within 48 hours of instruction and notifiable within 16 days.
