As winter looms; Asbestech are reporting a strong summer performance during 2020. Despite the economic difficulties there have been a number of significant contract wins during the year:
Daniel Chalkley; Managing Director said, ’’In essence, our work streams can be split into two categories. The first is work generated from holding Framework Agreements with customers. These can deliver regular work month in, month out. These Frameworks are for a fixed duration (normally 3/4/5 years) and can be organised through an agreed schedule of rates or through a mini-tender process for each piece of work. Frameworks are normally awarded following a rigorous tender process which has evaluated a mix between Quality and Price. During the year we have added a number of Frameworks to our already diverse mix of customers such as Local Government Shared Services; Efficiency East Midlands; London Borough of Waltham Forest; North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative; Brighton & Hove City Council and East Sussex County Council, and these relationships have produced a revenue outturn during the summer quarter of circa £4m.
Our second work stream are ad hoc tenders which the team bids for on an individual basis. During the summer we had a number of wins in this area and successfully delivered significant projects to the Ditchley Foundation; Morgan Sindall; ISG Group and a number of organisations in the Education sector. This work delivered sales around the £1.5m mark during the summer months.
In my opinion, our continued growth and success during tough times can be attributed to having a great team at Asbestech operating great systems. We ensure that we have a talented group of people whose focus is on solving challenges in a smart way and we must deliver as a minimum what our customers expect from us and leave behind us a positive legacy’’.
