Asbestos Removal and Controlled Duct Cleaning

Asbestos removal is a highly regulated area. Licences are only granted after very careful vetting by the HSE. Our processes are audited regularly by a number of independent bodies to ensure that we consistently deliver a service which surpasses industry best practise. Our exemplary Health and Safety statistics demonstrate our commitment to the well-being of our people, our clients and the general public. Utilising state of the art CCTV systems for enclosure monitoring, our fully employed and security cleared site teams remove asbestos safely and efficiently before disposal at specially licensed landfill sites.

At Asbestech, we have been helping our clients to safely remove asbestos and other hazards since the early 1980’s. Our highly skilled and experienced management team employ state of the art working methods and always ensure that we don’t compromise on our priorities of safety, quality and performance. We understand the importance and the concern around asbestos and hazard removal, and this is reflected in the way that we work and the way that we conduct ourselves on site. Completing work under either controlled or semi-controlled conditions, we take responsibility for any required HSE and Environment Agency notifications and we can also arrange for compliance and clearance testing when requested. With all activities that we undertake, we measure our environmental impact and take steps to reduce this whenever possible, including having real time trackers across our fleet that enables us to measure our carbon footprint to help our clients meet their environmental goals.

Mechanical Protection & Asbestos Encapsulation

In some cases it is accepted that the identified asbestos containing materials (ACMs) are in a suitable condition to leave in place provided that any degradation can be prevented. Depending on the location and the condition of the ACM, its protection can be achieved by constructing a mechanical barrier which is put in place around the ACM to prevent it from receiving any damage that could lead to a release of asbestos fibres into the atmosphere, or alternatively a specialised coating can be applied to the ACM which encapsulates the material ensuring that there is no further fibre release.

Working with our clients and their consultants, we utilise a number of state of the art techniques to protect ACMs. Drawing on our extensive experience, built up over more than three decades of successful project delivery, we can provide the perfect solution to your asbestos management needs. Reinstatement

Once a hazard has been identified to be removed it is important to know what it is to be replaced with, and how. At Asbestech, we have a wealth of experience to draw on, built up over many years of successful projects by our skilled site teams. Whether it be by replacing gaskets, putting up a new ceiling, laying replacement floor coverings, or rebuilding a wall our capable teams are able to save you the time and money involved in identifying separate contractors. Our Contracts Managers can also assist with pre tender budgets and provide advice on specifications and planning.

Having contractors working within your building, especially while it is still occupied, can be a source of concern and cause of disruption. Our site teams are polite and discreet, and will work to your guidelines to ensure that the project is completed with the minimum of disruption to your business operations. Soft Strip Demolition

When a structure is to be refurbished or redeveloped it is important to consider any hazards that may be concealed within the fabric of the building. These hazards need to be dealt with first in the appropriate professional manner. Only then can the structure be redeveloped safely.

At Asbestech we offer a full professional soft strip service to our clients. We work to your specifications, in conjunction with your project managers or consultants, providing you with practical solutions to removing all services, fabrics, fixtures, fittings, floors and ceilings allowing the return of the building to its original shell.

We have the experience to ensure that any reusable items are reclaimed when required and in line with our Environmental Policy, we recycle as much of the material as possible. Utilising the latest techniques and tools, we are able to provide this soft strip service quickly, efficiently and most importantly safely. This leaves you free from problematic time delays and the costs associated with appointing separate contractors.

Thermal Insulation

From simple material supply to installation and maintenance, our experienced Contract Managers choose from a wide range of insulation solutions to suit various applications. We are able to offer thermal insulation services to our clients from basic frost protection to energy conservation and protection of personnel for building areas, vessels, pipework runs, processes and equipment.

Whether the project is a simple repair to existing insulation or a complete overhaul and reinstatement at a client's plant we are flexible enough to manage and adaptable enough to deliver.
